RESEARCH STATEMENT

I have worked on estimation of petrophysical parameters using spectral induced polarization of complex carbonate rocks. Spectral induced polarization is an extended version of DC resistivity method, that measures real and imaginary part of the conductivity and hence it is also known as complex conductivity method also. The pore size distribution of the carbonate rocks was also estimated using complex conductivity and validated with mercury intrusion porosimetry. I also performed bulk XRD data analysis and clay quantification of 120 volcanic powdered samples and cation exchange capacity (CEC) measurements. My future work interest involves usage of spectral induced polarization for ground water exploration, hydraulic parameters (hydraulic conductivity & permeability), in-situ measurements.
